Gear shaving is commonly used as a finishing process for gear manufacturing. The parameters of the shaving machine influence the precision of the shaved gear tooth profile significantly. This research develops the mathematical model of the shaved gear with longitudinal crowning considering the setting parameters of the gear-shaving machine. The additional rotating angle is also set up when the shaving cutter moves along the axis of work gear. The shaved gear's tooth contact analysis is also studied. The results shown in this research can be beneficial to engineers in the industry of gear manufacturing and control of a gear-shaving machine.
