Virtual educational environment: Distant teaching and learning systems

Desktop virtual classroom system on MBone and CORAL a multiserver distant cooperative learning system are developed to provide online and offline interaction between teachers and learners. Mbone handles online interaction and provides a distant teaching environment in which teachers and learners is connected remotely from their workstation sites. The CORAL system handles offline interaction among learners and is a World Wide Web (WWW)-based distant and cooperative learning system which provides users with access to remote class materials, finds learning partners, and conducts cooperative learning; give instructors to monitor and study learning activities; and allow managers to operate and maintain local servers independently.
