Abstract

A novel photonic crystal nano-fishbone is proposed, which confines ultrahigh Q (∼ 1.6×10 7 ) transverse magnetic mode with smaller mode volume, device size, surface area, and higher confinement factor than those in photonic crystal nanobeam.
