Abstract

The connection between thermal radiation and change of temperature is discussed. As an example, the equation deduced is used to calculate the temperature increase of a slab of the Earth due to its hot upper atmosphere, in which a high energy/mass is accumulated after the ejection from a large impact on the Earth.
