The Advanced Thin Film Micro LED Array

Abstract

The development of thin film micro LEDs has led the display industry into a new era. The highly-efficient and color-saturated pixels provided by the semiconductor chips can be the foundation of the new type of micro-display or large signage. Meanwhile various issues in micro-assembly need to optimize to obtain satisfactory process flow and throughput yield for this technology. Both RGB method and color-conversion method are promising for micro-LED based displays and their progress in ITRI lab will be fully reviewed in this study.
