Fused polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are of great interest in light of the utilization of these compounds as organic material for electronic devices. Their application in the field of organic electronics materials is les advanced to the aforementioned six-membered PAHs. The electrochemical highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy gaps were estimated from reduction and oxidation waves. In all cases of NICS and NICS, the values of the central benzene ring and the five-membered rings were positive, indicating the weak anti-aromatic character of the s-indacene moiety.
