Abstract

By investigating a 10 GHz environmentally stable hybrid mode-locked Er-doped fiber soliton laser with a sigma-Type laser cavity, we experimentally and theoretically demonstrate that the relative intensity noise (RIN) of bound soliton mode-locking can be slightly smaller than that of single soliton mode-locking.
