Abstract

Using time-resolved Fourier-transform spectroscopy (TR-FTS), the nascent rotational and vibrational distribution of HCl produced from the bimolecular reaction Cl+H2S→HCl(v,J)+HS(v,J) were determined. A rotational energy of HCl much greater than reported previously, but consistent with other similar reactions, was observed.
