Using the topological charge distribution to track the four phase singularities, the interaction dynamics of the singularities in both experimental preparations was examined, and models were numerically simulated. It was found that the singularity behavior may be classified on the basis of separation distance, and that the experimentally observed dynamics are more complex and varied than those predicted by the model.
