Plasma beam alignment technique for OCB mode liquid crystal display

Abstract

Plasma beam alignment technique for OCB mode was first adopted in this study. Different exposure time of OCB cells were fabricated with sheet-like accelerated Ar+ plasma generated from anode layer thruster (ALT). Fast response time (3.3 ms) was revealed and has the potential for OCB mode LCD to replace conventional rubbing process.
