Abstract

The phase shift keying of actively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber (EDF) ring laser by using an inherent delay-locked-loop was discussed. The laser made use of a voltage-controlled electronic delay-locked-loop- based phase shifter (DLL-PS) for the delay-time and phase tuning of optical pulses. has applications in optically time-division-multiplexing communication and high-speed electro-optical sampling.
