Object images quality improvement for transparent display

Abstract

In transparent display applications, the object images pass through transparent display would be blurred because of the diffraction phenomenon. When object light passes through the edge of array pattern of transparent display, the wavefront rebuilt in different situation would cause image blur on the edge of the object. In this paper, we simulated the diffraction effect of transparent electrowetting display (EWD) and proposed a corresponding couple micro lens to reduce the diffractbn effect. After optimizing the lens size, 92% diffraction width can be reduced.
