Abstract

The noise-coupling technique is introduced into the design of incremental ΔΣ ADCs using extended counting. A reduced number of integrators and hence lower power dissipation can thus be achieved. To demonstrate the proposed idea, a second-order noise-coupled incremental ΔΣ modulator with extended counting structure was designed and simulated.
