Motion blur suppression by 120Hz local blinking high dynamic range LCD systems

Abstract

A 120Hz Local Blinking High Dynamic Range(HDR) system was proposed to significantly reduce MPRT down to 3.89ms and keep high brightness almost as well as conventional LCDs, that is distinct from the prior arts, such as Black Band Insertion, Blinking Backlight and Gray Frame Insertion, those may cause brightness decrement. Besides, the intrinsic benefit of high contrast and low power consumption also can be achieved.
