Misaligned spherical-mirror waveguide resonators

The effect of misaligning the spherical mirror of a hollow waveguide laser resonator on the diffraction loss is investigated on the assumption that the waveguide acts as an EH11 signel-mode filter. Theoretical and experimental results are obtained and compared by means of the formula for homogeneous line broadening.
