Magnetic anisotropy of pseudo-spin-valve Co/Cu/NiFe

Abstract

Ferromagnetic resonance spectra were measured on a series of pseudo-spin-valve (PSV) samples composed of Co, NiFe and Cu. The spectra showed two resonant peaks, the evolution of which was recorded as a function of the angular orientation of the applied field. The data yielded the out-of-plane anisotropy constants, which was affected by the insertion of a Cu underlayer.
