Abstract

We examine the locality and the Lorentz transformation properties of the recently proposed order parameter field for the Higgs-Coulomb phase transition in QED3. It is shown that the operator is local with respect to electric current Jμ, electromagnetic field Fβν and gauge invariant energy-momentum tensor Tμν, and is a covariant scalar field. This operator is an example of local order parameter of broken symmetry with "trivially" conserved current.
