Local dimming using a grid-shaped reflector in large-sized LED TV

Abstract

A grid-shaped reflector was added into direct LED backlight in large-sized LED TV to reduce computational complexity of local dimming process. Without consideration of high computational complexity, more dimming blocks can be adopted to achieve lower distortion rate and power consumption.
