Lithographic tuning of 2-D photonic crystal lasers

Abstract

The lithographic tuning of photonic crystal lasers with wavelength separations as small as 4 nm between adjacent devices was demonstrated. The lasing wavelength of all elements in the array plotted as a function of their lattice constants was presented. In the plot the lattice constant varied between 490 nm and 55 nm while lasing wavelength varied over a range of about 80 nm.
