LED polarization conversion and angular shaping module for LCD backlighting

Abstract

A polarization conversion and angular shaping LED module has been proposed to improve the efficiency and uniformity for direct type LCD backlighting. The design includes simulation based on nanostructure, polarization and geometrical optics.
