Abstract
The crystal structure of superconducting oxide of YBa//2Cu//3O//7// minus //x has been studied using high-resolution electron microscopy. The multi-slice image simulation shows contrast variations with different models of atomic arrangement. The experimental observations support the three-layer pervoskite structure with oxygen deficiencies in the Y plane and in the Cu plane between Ba and Ba, as determined by x-ray and neutron diffraction.
