Front lighting design for reflective display: Free-form surface reflector for uniform illumination

Abstract

We proposed the front lighting design for the purpose of achieving bright and uniform illumination on the reflective display. The Luminaire design applies free-form mirror surface reflectors to redistribute the light from the light source and then illuminates on the target display. The illumination uniformity on the display could be greatly enhanced.
