Abstract

Carbonylation of organic iodides (RI) was studied using the Zn(Cu) reduction system. Carbonylation products, including aldehydes, unsymmetrical ketones, and cyclopentanone derivatives, were obtained by this procedure. The degree of success was diverse, depending on the structure of RI.
