We study the renormalizable Gross-Neveu model in (2 + 1) dimensions at next to leading order in the 1/N expansion. The corrections to the value of the critical coupling and β-function are calculated. The nature of the finite fixed point as found in the leading order remains unchanged. We also obtain the effective potential for the scalar field interpolating the bound state meson and the high energy asymptotics of the fermionic Green's functions.
