Abstract

Flow carbonylation using near-stoichiometric amounts of carbon monoxide was studied. The Heck carbonylation of 1-bromo-3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzene was chosen as a modelfor the flow carbonylation, which proceeded efficiently with the use of 1.2 equiv of CO to give the desired ester in quantitative yield.
