Several antijam (AJ) receivers for fast FH/MFSK (frequency-hopped M-ary frequency-shift-keyed signaling have been proposed and analyzed. Most of these require side information such as noise power and signal energy so that proper combination of signals from various diversity branches can be made. The author examines the behavior of a class of nonlinear diversity-combining receivers in the presence of worst-case band multitone jamming. This class of receivers does not require knowledge of signal or jammer and thus is not susceptible to measurement errors of the side information. A performance analysis is presented, and numerical results are discussed.
