Abstract

A diffusion-bonded Nd:YVO4/Nd:GdVO4 crystal is designed to generate a diode-endpumped dual-spectral-band laser around 1.06 μm in Q-switched and mode-locked operations. Wavelength extension to eye-safe region via intracavity optical parametric oscillation is also demonstrated with this material.
