Effects of surface treatment and reflectance on legibility and visual fatigue in reflective-type displays

Abstract

Influences of surface treatment and reflectance of reflective-type displays on legibility and visual fatigue were studied. The results showed that the compound surface treatment of anti-reflection and anti-glare (ARC) exhibited better visual performance. The results also validated that a higher reflectance could improve legibility and reduce users' visual fatigue.
