Abstract

The first IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE-NANO 2001) was successfully held in Maui, Hawaii, 28-30 October 2001. Hundreds of people from the scientific/academic and industrial community in the United States, Europe, Asia, and all over the world attended this ground-breaking conference. As such, this conference provided great opportunities for leading researchers/developers to gather together and present their newest and most exciting technical findings/achievements, exchange new ideas, and initiate active international collaboration.
