We propose a decoupling controller design method for linear multi-variable systems with periodic inputs. The plant may be nonminimum phase, and the periodic inputs may have different periods in different input channels. In addition to achieving closed-loop stability and input-output decoupling, the design is to satisfy prespecified sensitivity bound and tracking error bound for a class of periodic inputs in each channel. With the proposed design approach, an n-channel MIMO design problem is reduced to n SISO ones in which design specifications can be independently achieved. A design algorithm is proposed, and an illustrative example is given.
