Abstract

Compact S-shape 1×2 thermo-optic polymer waveguide switch with wide bandwidth was presented. The output power ratios as a function of the wavelength and the heating power were presented. Results showed that the device has a wide bandwidth, low crosstalk, low polarization dependence and a 6.5 ms switching time.
