Antihydrogen formation in collisions of antiprotons with positronium: The effects of a strong laser field

Abstract

The effects of a strong laser field in antihydrogen formation in collisions of antiprotons with positronium were presented. The process was simulated by using the classical-trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method. The CTMC calculation used a classical model for the true quantum mechanical system. Results showed that the presence of an external sinusoidal field introduced by the laser increased H̄ formation.
