title = "An X-band MMIC HBT high efficiency power amplifier with lossless feedback technique",
abstract = "In this paper, a 10-GHz MMIC power amplifier (PA) using a lossless feedback (FB) technique for unilateralized device to achieve optimal output power and improve return loss at the same time is implemented in 2μm GaAs HBT. Compared with the conventional common emitter (CE) PA, the gain of the FB PA is improved from 8 to 12.7 dB, and the PAE is improved from 35.6% to 41%. This FB power amplifier has 26.1 dBm output power, which is the same level as the conventional CE power amplifier. However, the FB power amplifier is more sensitive to the process variation than the CE power amplifier.",
