An image rejection low noise amplifier for WLAN system

Abstract

This paper presents a new structure that combines low noise amplifier with on-chip filter to eliminate external expensive SAW filter, and achieves high performance while consumes low power. The proposed image rejection LNA is optimized for 5.8 GHz application for WLAN with IF frequency of 500 MHz based on TSMC 0.18 mu m CMOS technology. The circuit operates at supply voltage of 1V, and Vbias of 0.7V. The power consumption is 5.98 mW.
