All-optical wavelength conversion with NRZ-RZ format conversion

Abstract

We demonstrate polarization-insensitive data-format and wavelength-conversion using dual-wavelength injection-locking of Fabry-Perot lasers. Negative power penalty of -3.8dB and -5.2dB and polarization-dependence of 0A7d & and OAOdB for converted NRZ and RZ signals were achieved respectively.
