A Tapered Single-Conductor Strip Leaky-wave Antenna with Suppressed Back Lobe

Abstract

A tapered single-conductor leaky-wave antenna is presented. By tapering the width of the single conductor strip, the front to back ratio is about 15 dB from 4.5 GHz to 6 GHz. A wide-band balun is used to support the proposed antenna operate from 4.5 GHz to 6.55 GHz with the return loss > 10dB
