Abstract

A novel hybrid 10G/1G coexisted TDM-PON based on reflective ONUs is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. 10-Gb/s upstream is successfully achieved by 4 piped 2.5-Gb/s sub-units in the ONU with negligible power penalty less than 0.2dB.
