A new motor design for hermetic DC compressor

Abstract

In this paper, we compared the traditional and new motor design for DC compressor. A concentrated winding enables a motor be downsized, cost down and improving the motor efficiency. In this paper, we studied the differences in motor characteristics and manufacturing on the different stator windings. For this comparison, we used both computer simulation and experiments.
