A compact, high-selectivity, and wide passband semi-lumped 70 MHz high-pass filter

Abstract

This paper presents a 75 Ω 70 MHz high-pass filter based on a semi-lumped design. This design results in high-selectivity and wide passband by adding an inductive microstrip line, compensating for impedance mismatching caused by parasitic capacitance from lumped inductors. The experimental results, which agree with the simulation results, show that this method can improve the 15 dB reflection coefficient of a 70 MHz high-pass filter from 70-750 MHz to 70-2670 MHz without increasing the number of components. The topology can be easily extended to other high-pass filters.
