Abstract

Deprotonation and Sn/Li exchange transforms the ketone 1 into the title compound 2, which proves to be a most useful synthesis step. The α,β‐dianions of ketones react with electrophiles, whereby two different electrophiles can react sequentially. (Figure Presented.)
