organization profile
In 2005, the CSIE and the CIS departments were united once again in the formation of the country’s first College of Computer Science. The new college adopted a matrix organization model in order to promote multidisciplinary studies and collaborative researches. In this new organization, the two departments were merged and restructured into parallel research programs including the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Program, the Networking and Multimedia Engineering Program, and the Computer Science and Engineering Program. As Taiwan’s largest and most vibrant department of computer science, NCTU CS Department is committed to becoming a top-notch research and teaching institution by building upon our proud tradition of academic excellence and technology innovation as well as rejuvenating with bold visions and new strategies.
